Job summary

The Haskell Company is seeking an experienced estimator to join our preconstruction team in Charlotte, NC. You will provide accurate cost estimates, lead bid strategies, and coordinate with project directors, architects, and engineers to drive competitive proposals.

You will review designs, develop scopes of work, manage subcontractor quotes, and assist in risk and value engineering. A BS in engineering or construction management and 5+ years of estimating experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years estimating experience or 15 years in construction industry.
• Experience in estimating, scheduling, budget/cost control, client relationships, and subcontractor/vendor relations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design review meetings to assess scope, cost, and constructability.
• Develop bid strategies and estimate at multiple design levels.
• Coordinate pre-bid site visits and precon reviews.
• Assist in risk assessment and value engineering.
• Manage subcontractor quotes and selection process.
• Track budgets and update cost data during project lifecycle.
