Job summary

Haskell in Jacksonville seeks a Lead Preconstruction Estimator to oversee cost planning from design development through bid phase. You will drive accuracy, risk assessment, and bid strategy while coordinating with project directors, architects, and engineers.

You will lead a team of estimators, develop detailed estimates, review proposals, and manage subcontractor quotes and RFIs to ensure competitive, compliant bids.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years estimating experience or 9 years in related field.
• Experience in estimating, scheduling, budget and cost control, construction, and client relationships.
• Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Estimate: participate in design reviews, develop strategy, determine scope and resources.
• Estimate Development: lead estimators team, create master estimate formats, review other estimates.
• Subcontractor Management: manage quotes, relationships, and bid package readiness.
• Post Estimate: assist budget development, participate in lessons learned, support change orders.
• Database Management: maintain historical cost data and bid documents.
• Training: train staff and develop training programs.
• Travel: 10-25% travel as needed.
• Misc.: lead estimating resources and coordinate with Project Director.
