Job summary
The Haskell Company seeks a seasoned Preconstruction Estimator to lead estimating efforts for complex projects. You will guide a team of estimators, develop detailed cost estimates, and coordinate bid packages with project directors, architects, and engineers to support successful competitive bids.
Responsibilities include bid strategy development, risk assessment, and collaboration with subcontractors. A BS in engineering-related field and 5–8 years of estimating experience are required; travel
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or an accredited construction-related curriculum.
- 5–8 years of estimating experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of estimators on proposals and preconstruction efforts.
- Create and review detailed cost estimates and bid packages.
- Develop master estimate formats and work breakdown structures (WBS).
- Coordinate pre-bid site visits and bid reviews with Project Directors and Engineers.
- Identify risks and value engineering opportunities during estimates.
- Support subcontractor management and bid package development.
