Job summary

M.J. Electric, LLC is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the development of cost estimates for industrial and commercial electrical construction projects nationwide.

The role requires delivering accurate scope, pricing, and resource requirements and coordinating with project teams across multiple locations. The Senior Estimator will manage bid preparation, vendor and subcontractor pricing, and cost analysis while applying company standards and facilitating competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop technical scope of work and cost estimates for industrial and commercial electrical construction projects.
• Experience leading bid development and cost estimation processes.
• Strong analytical skills for material takeoffs and cost analyses.
• Proven ability to interface with customers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of estimating software and MS Office is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of technical scope and cost estimates for industrial and commercial electrical projects nationwide.
• Prepare pre-approval estimates from limited information and general scopes.
• Develop detailed post-approval estimates based on standards and site drawings.
• Perform material takeoffs and cost analyses to support estimates.
• Develop pricing schedules and criteria for bid evaluations.
• Maintain historical cost databases and estimation tools.
