Job summary

M. J. Electric, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the development of technical cost estimates for industrial and commercial electrical construction nationwide.

The role focuses on scope development, cost modeling, and resource planning with deep involvement in bids and proposals. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in estimating or related roles within industrial or commercial electrical construction, and hold a engineering or business-related degree.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proven communication, organizational and persuasive interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of estimating software and industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with proposal preparation, evaluations, and pricing schedules.
• Develop detailed post-approval estimates based on company standards and site drawings.
• Perform material take-offs and cost analyses to support estimates.
• Interface with customers, vendors and subcontractors to determine project costs.
• Visit customer sites to assess project conditions and requirements.
• Lead and collaborate with Operations and Estimating teams on project scope and turnover.
