Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the development of technical scopes and cost estimates for industrial and commercial electrical construction projects nationwide.

You will prepare pre- and post-approval estimates, perform material take-offs, and analyze costs to support competitive bids. You will interface with customers, vendors and subcontractors, oversee data in estimating software, and provide expert cost guidance for bid success.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience (Preferred).
• 10+ years of estimating, project management or field related experience in the industrial and commercial electrical construction industry (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead development of technical scope and cost estimates for industrial and commercial electrical construction projects nationwide.
• Prepare pre-approval estimates based on limited information and general scopes of work.
• Develop detailed post-approval estimates per company standards and site drawings.
• Perform material take-offs and cost analyses to support estimates.
• Interface with customers, vendors and subcontractors to determine project cost and pricing.
• Manage bid and proposal processes, including documentation and handover to operations.
