Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Estimator to conduct complex drywall and related trades estimates for SPO projects. The role involves takeoffs, cost analyses, and value engineering to ensure accurate GMP-ready bids.

Ideal candidates will have strong BIM, vendor coordination, and GC/GR consideration, with a background in heavy construction and preconstruction processes. This is an on-site, salaried exempt role based in a major project location.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of detailed estimating experience for specialty scopes.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field (or equivalent).
• Experience in project engineering, field supervision, or purchasing.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
• Proficient in MS Office and estimating software; BIM knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex estimating activities with SPO Drywall and Preconstruction teams.
• Prepare detailed takeoffs, analyses, and input for assigned scopes.
• Develop drywall estimating strategy and conceptual budgets.
• Coordinate with vendors for competitive pricing and manage bids.
• Review estimates for GMP readiness and communicate variances to stakeholders.
• Utilize BIM for quantity take-off and visualization to support estimates.
• Prepare bid documents and ensure inclusion of GC/GRs and site logistics.
