Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Estimator to support Lead Estimators in all estimating functions during the preconstruction launch. You will contribute to value engineering, budget controls, and GMP readiness with BIM-powered quantity take-offs and collaboration with trade partners.

This role requires extensive knowledge of construction estimating, contracts, and strong communication with owners, architects, and engineers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction or similar.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in project engineering, field supervision or purchasing.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Project Preconstruction Manager in estimating functions during preconstruction launch.
Coordinate trade partner bid lists with procurement for budget pricing and bidding.
Lead review meetings with owner, architect, and engineer related to Preconstruction phase.
Prepare analysis to explain variances for project stakeholders.
Visit project sites to evaluate conditions and capture scope not in design documents.
Develop estimate, estimate schedule, and responsibility matrix with Preconstruction Manager.
Provide pricing for value engineering and options.
Utilize BIM for quantity take-off and visualization to support estimates.
