Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking an experienced Process Engineer for the Microwave Automated Factory. The role focuses on high-volume manufacturing, die attach, and SMT in a clean room environment.

You will collaborate with engineers across disciplines to drive process improvements and maintain high quality standards. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in automated manufacturing, familiarity with military standards, and strong SPC/DOE/RCCA skills, plus hands-on capability with process documentation

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with automated machines used in manufacturing.
• Experience navigating military standards and/or engineering data packages.
• Experience with automated die attach and adhesive qualification.
• Manufacturing experience with SMT, microelectronics or automated assembly equipment.
• SPC, DOE, RCCA experience and strong technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Microwave Automated Factory in high-volume, high-mix production with on-site responsiveness to equipment, process, material, and product problems.
• Support assembly processes involving automated epoxy component attachment (die attach) and cure.
• Work with product, quality, reliability, and manufacturing engineers on production.
• Develop and implement materials, processes, process improvements, and production support using SPC, DOE, RCCA, material analysis and root-cause methods.
• Evaluate materials, equipment and processes and interface with suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Spend 8+ hours per day in a clean room environment, following ESD procedures.
