Job summary

Raytheon in McKinney, TX, is seeking a hands-on Process Engineer for the Microwave Automated Factory, joining a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on RF packaging and SMT processes.

You will collaborate with product, quality, reliability, and manufacturing engineers to implement materials and processes, support production with SPC and experimental designs, and drive root cause analysis and process improvements.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree or equivalent with 8+ years relevant experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Experience with automated assembly equipment is required.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support the Microwave Automated Factory (an ISO Class 8 clean room environment) in high‑volume, high‑mix production with on-site responsiveness to equipment, process, material, and product problems.
• Support assembly processes involving automated epoxy component attachment and Radiofrequency (RF) Assembly.
• Work hand-in-hand with product engineers, quality engineers, reliability engineers, and manufacturing engineers on product manufacturing.
• Develop and implement materials, processes, process improvements, and production support using established statistical process control techniques, experimental designs, material analysis, mechanical design analysis, and root cause analysis.
• Evaluate materials, equipment and processes (including qualification, acceptance testing, and specification development) and interface with key internal and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.
