RTX in McKinney, Texas, is seeking a Process Engineer I to join the CCA Process Engineering team. This onsite role supports RF microelectronic packaging and SMT in a state-of-the-art Microwave Automated Factory, working with cross-functional teams to implement new materials, processes, and automation.

The position requires a STEM degree and hands-on SMT experience, with familiarity in IPC/J-STD and military standards.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience.
• Hands-on experience with automated machines used within the surface mount technology (SMT) industry.
• Experience navigating IPC, J-STD and military standards and other engineering data packages.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for high-volume, high-mix production by addressing equipment, processes, materials, and product challenges.
• Utilize data-driven methods like SPC and DOE to develop and maintain controlled processes and update process documentation.
• Support new product builds using automated equipment and drive process improvement projects.
• Evaluate and qualify materials, equipment, and processes; collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues.
• Communicate technical information across cross-functional teams and work in a cleanroom following protocols.
