Job summary

Sentara Health seeks a Senior IT Specialty Analyst to support and optimize Epic applications across clinical, revenue cycle, and access domains. You will analyze business needs, configure and test upgrades, and guide implementation of software releases while partnering with cross-functional teams.

You will use Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, and Radar dashboards, leveraging SQL, SSIS, R, and Python to deliver actionable insights. Epic certification is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5+ years of Epic experience with degree.
• 7+ years of Epic reporting experience without a degree.
• Epic certification or proficiency in applicable Epic applications preferred.
• Experience with Cogito, Caboodle, Clarity, and other data models is expected.
• Strong SQL/SSIS and scripting skills (R, Python) for analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and optimization of Epic apps across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access areas.
• Lead upgrades, configuration, workflow assessments, testing, and change management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and end users; may lead small projects.
• Maintain high-quality analytics and evidence-based improvements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred

5+ years of relevant Epic experience with degree

7+ years of relevant Epic experience without a degree
