Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Senior IT Specialty Analyst to support, optimize, and enhance Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access areas. You will configure builds, manage upgrades, conduct workflow assessments, and lead parts of larger initiatives while guiding junior teammates.

Required are Epic certifications or proficiency, substantial experience with Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, and Radar dashboards, and programming skills in SQL, R, or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with a degree.
• 7+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Epic certification, accreditation, or proficiency in one or more applicable Epic applications required or preferred based on the specific position.
• Epic data analytics tools: Cogito; Cogito Tools Administration; Caboodle Data Model; Clarity Data Model; Access Data Model; Revenue Data Model; Clinical Data Model.
• Experience with Epic reporting tools including Reporting Workbench, Radar dashboards, and SlicerDicer self-service reporting.
• 7+ years of experience with Epic reporting tools.
• Programming experience with SQL, SSIS, R, Python, or similar tools.
• Strong sense of responsibility, self-motivation and self-management.
• Curious and quick to learn with strong exploratory analysis skills.
• Enjoys collaborating with others to find solutions.
• Familiarity with clinical terminology or workflows.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day support, maintenance, optimization, and enhancement of Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access areas.
• Application build/configuration, upgrades, and enhancements; workflow assessments and system testing.
• Troubleshooting, incident and change management, and implementation of software releases.
• Work independently with limited supervision and lead smaller projects or components of larger initiatives.
• Provide guidance and support to less-experienced team members.
