Job summary

Sentara Health seeks a Senior IT Specialty Analyst to support Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access areas. The role applies advanced healthcare workflow knowledge to evaluate needs, recommend solutions, and improve system utilization.

You will perform build/configuration, upgrades, testing, troubleshooting, and incident/change management while collaborating with end users and cross-functional teams. Remote opportunities may be available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience with a degree.
• 7+ years of relevant experience without a degree.
• Epic certification, accreditation, or proficiency in one or more applicable Epic applications required or preferred based on the position.
• Experience with Epic reporting tools, including Reporting Workbench, Radar dashboards, and SlicerDicer self-service reporting.
• Programming experience with SQL, SSIS, R, Python, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• The Senior IT Specialty Analyst supports Epic applications across Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and Access areas, evaluating business needs and recommending solutions.
• The role includes build/configuration, upgrades, workflow assessments, testing, troubleshooting, incident/change management, and software releases.
• Works independently with limited supervision, partners with cross-functional teams, and may lead smaller projects.
