Job summary

Exelon is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead complex transmission and substation initiatives in Maryland. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget across cross-functional teams, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while delivering on time and within budget.

In this role you will interface with customers, sponsors, and senior leaders, develop detailed project plans, and coordinate resources, vendors, and contracts.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 7-10 years relevant project management or related experience, OR 9-12 years in lieu of bachelor's degree.
• PMP certification or achieve PMP within two years of job entry.
• Demonstrated proficiency in planning, scheduling, risk management, cost monitoring, and business case development.
• Proven leadership ability in a high performance culture.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Valid driver's license and access to an automobile.

Responsibilities

• Manage large and/or highly complex projects to deliver on time and within budget.
• Interface with external customers for transmission and substation projects, including billable costs and schedules.
• Collaborate with other project managers and functional managers to optimize resources.
• Communicate with sponsors and key stakeholders, including executive-level presentations.
• Oversee contract resources, change orders, and contractor performance.
• Lead and coach team members and mentor less experienced colleagues.
• Acquire zoning variations and permits by presenting project details to boards and hearings.
• Perform backup role for Manager Project Management.
