Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex transmission and substation initiatives across multiple disciplines and operating areas. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring safety and successful project execution across a portfolio valued from $1 million to $60 million.

The role requires PMP certification (or within two years of entry), strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate with sponsors and stakeholders. A valid driver's license is also needed.

Qualifications

• For construction project management: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 7–10 years of PM experience, or 9–12 years without a Bachelor's.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or PMP within two years of entry.
• Experience managing large, complex projects using Planning & Control, Issue & Risk Management, PM Tools, and Business Case Development.
• Proven leadership in a high-performance culture.
• Strong ability to build consensus, communicate effectively, and hold others accountable.
• Valid driver’s license and access to an automobile.

Responsibilities

• Directly accountable for delivering projects on time and within budget (40%).
• Interface with external customers on billable costs and schedules (10%).
• Collaborate with managers to optimize resource utilization (10%).
• Communicate with project sponsor and stakeholders, including executives (10%).
• Manage contract resources, change orders, and contractor performance (10%).
• Coach team members and mentor colleagues (10%).
• Acquire zoning variations and permits by presenting to boards and hearings (5%).
• Provide backup support for the Manager Project Management (5%).
