Job summary

Ilocatum in Houston seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale industrial electrical or mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The role requires onsite work at our Houston facility with 70% travel and per diem support.

You will coordinate clients, executives, field operations, and subcontractors, ensuring project performance, safety, and financial success. A strong background in Electrical or Mechanical EPC, with PMP/OSHA credentials, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent combinations considered.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical, mechanical, or EPC construction with leadership of large projects.
• Proven success leading multimillion-dollar electrical or mechanical construction projects in data centers, oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial plants.
• Strong knowledge in Electrical Construction or Mechanical Construction disciplines.
• Advanced understanding of contracts, financial management, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and risk mitigation.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage subcontractors, with executive communication skills.
• Proficiency with project management software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
• PMP certification, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR preferred; valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for large-scale electrical, mechanical, or industrial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage project financial performance including budgets, cash flow, and reporting; identify risks and corrective actions.
• Direct and coordinate project teams, superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to align with objectives and schedules.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, owners, general contractors, and stakeholders; lead contract negotiations and issue resolution.
• Oversee scheduling, procurement, labor productivity, material management, and resource allocation for project success.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and construction codes while promoting a proactive safety culture.
• Mentor project managers and engineers; drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
