Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead and direct field projects of varying scale, risk, and scope. The role involves budget control, scheduling, and client liaison to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety and quality.

The position also entails developing new business opportunities with clients and overseeing project estimations, change orders, and financial performance across multiple teams in a union environment.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in Engineering, or Construction Management; or combination of equivalent education and 15 years job-related experience if no degree
• PMI certification from PMI preferred
• Superior oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; strong negotiation skills
• Advanced knowledge of construction, design, finance, business development, and project management
• Solid knowledge and understanding of financial statements and reports

Responsibilities

• Provides overall direction and manages field projects of any size, risk, scope and complexity.
• Develops new business opportunities relative to Clients or geographical area.
• Plans, organizes and staffs key field positions.
• Manages field execution to ensure project aligns with design, budget, and schedule.
• Monitors financial aspects of contracts and ensures billings and collections are current.
