Job summary

Matrix Service Company is recruiting a Sr. Electrical Project Manager, EPC to lead large-scale field projects for its Electrical division.

You will provide overall direction, manage scope, schedule and budget, coordinate multiple craft disciplines and drive on-time, within-budget execution on upcoming jobsites. The role requires hands-on project leadership, client liaison, bid and strategy participation, and mentoring of junior PMs.

Qualifications

• Must have a 4-year degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years supervisory experience in Electrical EPC projects, with PM/P&L exposure.
• Experience with union construction subcontractors a plus.
• PMI Project Management Certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of corporate and industry practices and standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
• Advanced knowledge of construction, design, finance, business development and project management.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and project scheduling software.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Solid understanding of financial statements and reports.

Responsibilities

• Support safety commitments and the company's core values.
• Lead liaison with the client to assess scope and resources for successful completion.
• Represent the company at bid meetings, project meetings and strategy sessions.
• Establish objectives, policies and performance standards; review project proposals.
• Plan, staff and organize field positions through department heads.
• Oversee on-site supervision to ensure design, budget and schedule compliance.
• Provide technical interpretations and approve change orders.
• Manage profit/loss accountability, billing, collections and client relations.
• Develop new business opportunities with key clients or regional groups.
• Perform additional duties as required.
