Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a Sr. Electrical Project Manager, EPC to lead large-scale electrical projects from the field. The role involves directing multi-discipline teams, managing budgets, schedules, and client relations while driving profitability.

Strong background in electrical EPC, PM, and union environments is preferred. The position emphasizes safety, risk management and proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget across major sites.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management; or combination of equivalent education and 15 years job-related experience if no degree
• 10+ years supervisory experience in Electrical EPC project work, preferably in a union environment
• Experience with union construction subcontractors is a plus
• PMI Project Management Certification preferred
• Strong understanding of project controls, budgeting, scheduling and risk management
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and management of field projects of varying size and complexity
• Develop and oversee project budgets, estimates, planning, scheduling, forecasting and billings
• Maintain client relations and identify new business opportunities
• Guide and mentor junior project managers on policies and procedures
• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance on sites
• Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers and field supervisors to deliver projects on time and within budget
• Prepare and review change orders, proposals and project documentation
• Monitor financial performance and project cash flow; manage risk and issue resolution
