Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a Sr. Electrical Project Manager, EPC to lead large-scale field projects within our Electrical division. You will direct multi-discipline teams, manage budgets, schedules and client relations, and drive project profitability.

The role requires 10+ years in Electrical EPC project work, PM knowledge, and strong communication skills. This position focuses on safety, quality delivery, and effective change management at major jobsites.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering degree or 15 years related experience if no degree.
• PM/P&L experience required; 10+ years supervisory in Electrical EPC; union preferred.
• Experience with union subcontractors a plus.
• PMI certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of industry practices and standards.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Advanced knowledge of construction, finance, and project management.
• MS Word, Excel and scheduling software skills.
• Innovative management techniques to maximize performance.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Dependable, proactive problem-solver.
• Ability to prepare complex proposals and estimate projects.
• Knowledge of financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Represents company at bid, project and strategy meetings.
• Initiates and maintains client liaison to facilitate construction activities.
• Represents company at meetings with clients and internal teams.
• Establishes project objectives and prepares detailed estimates.
• Plans, staffs and manages field positions through department heads.
• Supervises on-site field supervision to meet design, budget and schedule.
• Provides technical guidance and handles change orders.
• Manages profit/loss and ensures timely billings and collections.
• Develops new business opportunities within client groups or regions.
