Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager, EPC to lead field projects at upcoming jobsites. This role directs multi-discipline teams, ensures adherence to scope, budget, and schedule, and drives profitability through effective project controls.

You will guide lower PMs and engage with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to optimize execution and safety. Key responsibilities include developing estimates, planning, scheduling, change orders, and financial

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Construction Management; or combination of equivalent education and 15 years job-related experience if no degree
• Prior PM/P&L experience; 10+ years supervisory experience in Electrical EPC projects, preferably union
• Experience with union construction subcontractors is a plus
• PMI project management certification preferred
• Strong communication, negotiation, and financial analysis skills
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and safely

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and management of field projects of any size and complexity
• Develop new business opportunities relative to clients or geographic areas
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards
• Staff key field positions and supervise on-site field personnel
• Manage profit/loss, budgeting, estimating, scheduling, forecasting, and collections
• Investigate and resolve technical/operational problems on projects
• Provide technical assistance and change-order management
• Maintain client relations and ensure project billings are current
