Job summary

Stantec is seeking a seasoned environmental professional to manage natural resource assessment and permitting projects across the Southeast. You will lead field surveys, NEPA and regulatory work, and foster strong client relationships from proposal through delivery.

The role requires 15–20 years of experience in the southeastern US, credentials such as PWS/CWB/CEP/CFP, and a willingness to travel up to 25% for field work. Office-based with field opportunities and a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in environmental discipline (biology, ecology, natural resources).
• 15–20 years of experience with biological surveys and project management in the SE United States.
• Professional certifications such as PWS, CWB, CEP, CFP; PMP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and PM support on environmental planning, assessment, and permitting projects.
• Manage all stages of a project from conception to completion, including budgets and client coordination.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and seek new business opportunities.
• Coordinate environmental field surveys (wetland/stream delineations, vegetation, wildlife, habitat).
• Support regulatory submittals (NEPA, CWA sections 404/401/408, Endangered Species Act).
• Assist with HSE policy implementation and required training.
• Mentor and train team members and provide technical oversight.
