Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support human health and ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. The role concentrates on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental projects across CDM Smith’s portfolio.

Responsibilities include assisting with site investigations, data interpretation for risk assessments, and developing QAPPs and SAPs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in science or related field with professional registration/certification or a Master's degree.
Minimum 7 years of related experience in environmental consulting or regulation.
Travel may be required; frequency depends on workload and project demands.
Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Support site investigations and data interpretation for human health and ecological risk assessments.
Assist with data quality objectives, QAPPs, and sampling and analysis plans.
Contribute to exposure modeling and risk assessments (CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs).
Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff; support client meetings and RFP responses.
Develop white papers on emerging environmental issues and present at conferences.
