Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. The role focuses on regulatory compliance for federal, state, and local environmental programs in CDM Smith’s portfolio.

You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists to develop exposure models, SCRs, and risk assessments, prepare QAPPs and SAPs, and contribute to proposals and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Science with 7 years of related experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supports site investigations and analysis for human health and ecological risk assessments.
• Develops data quality objectives (DQOs), QAPPs, and SAPs.
• Prepares CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs and BERAs for projects.
• Collaborates with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
• Provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
