Job summary

ICF is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to work remotely with a preference for Florida or the Eastern United States. The role supports NEPA compliance across energy, disaster management, and transportation projects, collaborating with clients and agencies to review EAs and EISs and manage schedules and budgets.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 4+ years of experience, and strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in natural or physical science, urban planning, public policy, economics, environmental management or related subjects.
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Serving as a lead reviewer for NEPA projects.
• Interacting with applicants and agency staff.
• Helping agency staff manage the preparation of EAs and EISs (usually prepared by the applicant’s contractor).
• Reviewing NEPA documents prepared by the applicant’s contractor.
• Reviewing environmental components of applications.
• Participating in the Project Management team.
• Acting as PM on EAs or DPM on EISs.
• Developing written materials and analyses for EAs or EISs or categorical exclusions.
• Serving as a liaison to direct technical staff on project teams.
• Coordinating project deliverables with document production staff.
• Developing and monitoring project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
• Organizing and facilitating meetings (preparing agendas, presenting content, summaries).
• Communicating with clients, stakeholders, and agency staff
