Job summary

ICF is seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to support NEPA compliance for energy, disaster management, and transportation projects. This remote role prefers candidates in Florida or the Eastern United States and may be performed from offices such as Reston, VA.

You will lead NEPA review efforts, coordinate with clients and agency staff, and help manage EAs and EISs, budgets, and schedules while contributing to a collaborative project management team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in natural or physical science, urban planning, public policy, economics, environmental management or related subjects
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience

Responsibilities

• Lead reviewer for NEPA projects
• Interact with applicants and agency staff
• Help agency staff manage the preparation of EAs and EISs (usually by applicant’s contractor)
• Review NEPA documents prepared by the applicant’s contractor
• Review environmental components of applications
• Participate in the Project Management team
• Act as PM on EAs or DPM on EISs
• Develop written materials and analyses for EAs or EISs or categorical exclusions
• Serve as a liaison to direct technical staff on project teams
• Coordinate project deliverables with document production staff
• Develop and monitor project scopes, schedules, and budgets
• Organize and facilitate meetings (agendas, content, summaries)
• Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and agency staff
