Job summary

ICF is seeking an Environmental Planner to work remotely (preference for Florida or the Eastern United States) in the Environment & Planning Division. You will support NEPA compliance across energy, disaster management, and transportation projects, collaborating with clients and senior staff to deliver high‑quality analysis and documents.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a natural/physical science or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience, plus strong Microsoft Office skills and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in natural or physical science, urban planning, public policy, economics, environmental management or related subjects.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience leading or supporting project management teams (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop written materials and analyses for EAs or EISs or categorical exclusions.
• Support meetings with clients or other stakeholders (preparing agendas and meeting summaries).
• Support federal, state, and local permitting and compliance for traditional and renewable energy, transmission, land use planning, and other projects in compliance with NEPA and other regulations.
• Review NEPA documents prepared by the applicant’s contractor.
• Review environmental components of applications.
• Support the Project Management team.
