Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Manager of Health & Safety to lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Management Systems and H&S programs across projects. You will train staff, develop policies, and drive compliance, safety culture, and performance.

The role involves incident investigations, audits, risk assessments, and collaboration with project managers and site coordinators. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of H&S experience, with ISO/EMS knowledge a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in safety/environmental field; major suggested.
• EPA and OSHA knowledge and regulations familiarity.
• ISO/Management Systems knowledge is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years experience with Management Systems or H&S programs.
• Experience in industrial environments with health and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation and ongoing management of H&S systems across assigned operations.
• Train, coach and monitor workforce to improve H&S performance.
• Conduct incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Coordinate audits and drive corrective actions.
• Provide guidance to locations on non-conformities or crisis events.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, HR, Risk) to ensure compliance.
• Prepare reports and provide data-driven updates to leadership.
