Job summary

Veolia North America seeks a Senior Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to lead the development and execution of EHS strategy across the division. You will coordinate with the corporate EHS team to implement initiatives, driving compliance with federal and state requirements and coaching staff on safe work and environmental practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Safety, environmental engineering, or equivalent.
• 7-10 years of related experience in EHS and Security compliance.
• 5 years of work experience in water/wastewater or utility industry.
• Proven record of coaching and developing safety engagement and leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and provide safety leadership training, workshops, coaching and resources.
• Conduct risk assessments and manage EHS risk reduction plans.
• Mentor Site Safety Coordinators and Project Management.
• Lead Division training programs and coordinate corporate training initiatives.
• Support safety culture assessments and development of engagement strategies.
• Support implementation of EHS leading indicators and behavioral safety.
• Provide EHS due diligence for new business and project start-ups.
• Assist operations with compliance for environmental and H&S regs.
• Coordinate industrial hygiene support to protect employee health.
• Review, update and develop corporate EHS standards and procedures.
• Manage investigations documentation and risk-reduction actions.
