Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. seeks a Telecomm/VoIP Manager to serve as the primary technical and project management resource for supporting, maintaining, and expanding the EMCOR OnPrem and Cloud VoIP infrastructure.

Provide support and troubleshooting to EMCOR operating companies to ensure the reliability of systems that meet the needs of our business operations. The role involves routine configuration changes on PBXs, SBCs, and SIP proxies, and requires strong knowledge of SIP/H.323 signaling, LNP

Qualifications

• 7+ years supporting Avaya Telephony Platforms (CM, IP Office, System/SM, Avaya SBC).
• Deep knowledge of SIP and H.323 signaling.
• Experience with enterprise SIP trunking infrastructure.
• Experience with scripting for mass configuration changes and upgrades.
• Experience with Local Number Portability and telecom carrier management.
• Proven project management experience for VoIP installations and upgrades.
• Experience with virtual phone systems on VMware and Microsoft Teams calling preferred.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine configuration changes and maintenance on the EMCOR VoIP network including PBXs, SBCs, and SIP proxies.
• Troubleshoot VoIP call quality and termination issues.
• Submit, track and complete LNP requests.
• Manage circuit orders, moves, adds, changes, and disconnects of EMCOR Telecom circuits.
• Prepare monthly intercompany statements for chargebacks to operating companies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to IT personnel across units.
• Onboard new locations to the EMCOR VoIP network.
• Initiate, manage and close out internal and service provider trouble tickets.
• Research problems and evaluate solutions.
• Assist in evaluating best practices or new technologies (e.g., Microsoft Teams calling).
• Perform other duties or tasks as required.
