Job summary

EMCOR Group, Inc. is seeking a Telecomm/VoIP Manager to lead the technical support and expansion of the EMCOR On-Prem and Cloud VoIP infrastructure. You will ensure reliable telecom systems across EMCOR operating companies, guiding IT personnel and coordinating with service providers.

The role requires deep Avaya and SIP proficiency, strong project management, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly. This on-site position offers a competitive compensation package and benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years supporting Avaya telephony platforms and related systems.
• Deep knowledge of SIP and H.323 signaling protocols.
• Experience with enterprise SIP trunking infrastructure.
• Scripting skills for mass configuration changes and upgrades.
• Experience with Local Number Portability and telecom carriers.
• Proven project management for VoIP installations and upgrades.
• Experience with virtual phone systems and MS Teams calling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine config changes on EMCOR VoIP network (PBXs, SBCs, SIP proxies).
• Troubleshoot VoIP call quality and termination issues.
• Submit and track Local Number Portability requests.
• Manage circuit orders and changes for EMCOR telecommunications.
• Prepare intercompany chargeback statements monthly.
• Provide technical guidance to IT personnel across units.
• Onboard new locations to the EMCOR VoIP network with local resources.
• Manage and close internal and service provider trouble tickets.
• Research problems and evaluate solutions; assist in evaluating new tech.
• Assess best practices, including Microsoft Teams calling, for reliability.
• Perform other duties as required.
