Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Telecommunication Specialist to manage and support its telecommunication systems across multiple campuses and clinics. The role covers cloud and on-prem VoIP, TDM, analog, voicemail, and related peripherals, with strong emphasis on reliability and end-user training.

The ideal candidate will have extensive Ring Central experience, Cisco voice platforms, and a background in coordinating with multiple IT teams to ensure secure, scalable voice services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in computer science and at least five years’ experience working with telecommunications and information technology network systems; or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
• Ring Central Experience Required

Responsibilities

• Manages and supports all moves, adds and changes.
• Works daily Service Now tickets for clinical and administrative staff.
• Coordinate with IT teams to ensure secure, scalable voice services.
• Support end users with telephone and voicemail systems; document configurations.
• Collaborate with outside vendors on complex voice projects (installations, upgrades, maintenance).
• Perform regular backups and troubleshoot voice systems using standard tools.
