Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a Solutions Engineer, Enterprise to join our Field Engineering team. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to our largest customers, helping them evaluate, adopt, and expand dbt usage.

You’ll collaborate with Sales to align technical and business priorities and guide customers through technical discovery and adoption. This full-time role is remote from Texas, working with Product, Engineering, and partners to deliver measurable value and drive expansion across the

Qualifications

• 4+ years in sales engineering, solutions architecture, consulting, or similar customer-facing tech role in data/analytics/BI.
• Strong foundation in SQL, data transformation, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
• Solid understanding of modern cloud data warehouse/lakehouse architectures.
• Ability to translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions and measurable outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to build credibility with stakeholders from data practitioners to executives.
• Capable of cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with enterprise customers connecting requirements to outcomes.
• Design enterprise-grade data transformation and analytics architectures using dbt.
• Partner with Sales to communicate technical and business value of the dbt platform.
• Lead customer evaluations and validation including trials and value proofs.
• Build trusted relationships with technical practitioners, data leaders, and executives.
• Guide customers through architecture, security, governance, and deployment considerations.
• Collaborate across the customer lifecycle to drive adoption and expansion.
• Provide feedback to Product/Engineering from field insights to influence roadmap.
• Foster relationships with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and other partners.
• Share best practices and thought leadership within Field Eng and dbt community.
