Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a Solutions Engineer, Enterprise to join our Field Engineering team in New York City. You will act as a trusted technical adviser to large, strategic customers, helping them evaluate, adopt, and expand their use of dbt.

You’ll partner with Sales to translate technical requirements into concrete dbt solutions, lead technical discovery, and guide customers through architecture, security, governance, and deployment considerations. Join a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role within data, analytics, or BI.
• Strong technical foundation in SQL, data transformation, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
• Understanding of modern cloud data warehouse, lake house, and analytics architectures.
• Ability to translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with enterprise customers and align requirements with business outcomes.
• Design enterprise-grade data transformation and analytics architectures using dbt.
• Partner with Sales to communicate the technical and business value of the dbt platform.
• Lead evaluations and validation, including trials and proofs of value when appropriate.
• Build relationships with data practitioners, leaders, and executives across the customer lifecycle.
• Guide architecture, security, governance, and deployment considerations.
• Collaborate across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Partners to drive adoption and expansion.
• Share insights with Product and Engineering to influence product strategy.
