Job summary
Datadog is seeking a Senior Enterprise Sales Engineer to act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and the Sales team, leading complex evaluations and aligning Datadog solutions to business outcomes.
In this role you will own the end-to-end evaluation, deliver demos and workshops, and help shape deal strategy across large enterprise accounts—focusing on cloud, observability, security, and AI tooling. Travel as needed to support engagements.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a technical customer-facing role within an enterprise environment.
- Ability to influence and adapt communication across technical, business, and executive audiences.
- Deep background in public cloud, Kubernetes, observability, and security.
- Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Experience mentoring peers or enabling teams.
- Familiarity with AI tooling and scaling.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy across accounts as a peer to the Account Executive.
- Lead discovery in every meeting and deliver engaging demos and workshops.
- Own end-to-end technical evaluations, scoping use cases, and setting timelines.
- Identify technical champions and influence throughout the deal cycle.
- Contribute to product direction with field feedback to PM and engineering.
