Job summary

Samsara is seeking a talented Enterprise Sales Engineer for the Public Sector in the East region. The role combines IoT hardware know-how with cloud dashboards and APIs to craft technically sound solutions for large public sector customers.

You will partner with account teams to navigate complex evaluations, lead demonstrations, and architect deployments that improve fleet safety, reduce emissions, and optimize operations across critical assets.

Qualifications

• Proven enterprise pre-sales experience with a technical product.
• Strong understanding of API, cloud software, and IoT hardware.
• Ability to diagnose and articulate customer needs with technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical pre-sales for public sector accounts and complex deals.
• Demonstrate Samsara hardware, gateway devices, dashboards, and APIs.
• Collaborate with sales to plan and execute multi-stakeholder deployments.
• Provide solutions architecture and customer-focused problem solving.
• Mentor other SEs and contribute to cross-team enablement.
• Travel up to 50% and operate within the Eastern Time Zone Midwest region.
