Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a Solutions Engineer, Enterprise to join our Field Engineering team. As a Solutions Architect, you will be a trusted technical advisor to some of our largest customers, helping them evaluate, adopt, and expand their use of dbt.

You’ll partner with Sales to understand priorities, design solutions with the dbt platform, and demonstrate measurable value throughout the evaluation process. You’ll work across the customer lifecycle—from discovery through expansion—while

Qualifications

• 4+ years in sales engineering or solutions architecture in data/analytics/BI
• Strong SQL, data transformation, ETL/ELT, and data modeling fundamentals
• Experience with modern cloud data warehouses, lakehouse architectures, and analytics
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex concepts clearly

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with enterprise customers and map requirements to measurable outcomes
• Design enterprise-grade data transformations and analytics using dbt
• Partner with Sales to communicate the value of the dbt platform
• Lead evaluations and proof-of-value engagements; manage trials as needed
• Build trusted relationships with data practitioners, stakeholders, and executives
• Guide customers through architecture, security, governance, and deployment considerations
• Support adoption and identify opportunities for expansion across the lifecycle
• Provide customer insights to Product/Engineering to influence roadmap
• Collaborate with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and other partners
• Share best practices and contribute to the dbt community
