Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a Sales Engineer for its Enterprise sales team to translate complex data requirements into end-to-end data pipelines using the Fivetran + dbt platform. You will own technical evaluations across the data lifecycle, from ingestion to governed analytics-ready models with dbt Cloud.

Responsibilities include delivering technical presentations, guiding proof-of-concept implementations, and collaborating with Product and Engineering to meet Enterprise customer needs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data replication, sales engineering, or analytics-focused roles.
• Strong background in cloud data warehouses and modern data architectures.
• Hands-on SQL, ETL/ELT, and data modeling experience.
• Familiar with dbt Cloud or dbt Core and related tooling.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into concrete solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Engage Enterprise customers to understand data requirements across ingestion, transformation, and modeling.
• Deliver technical presentations on the Fivetran + dbt value proposition.
• Lead proof-of-value processes spanning data ingestion to transformation.
• Guide customers through dbt Cloud proof-of-concept implementations.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align solutions with customer needs.
• Build relationships with key Enterprise customers and partners.
• Own the technical relationship across the full customer lifecycle.
• Stay current on trends in data movement, transformation, and analytics engineering.
