Bain & Company is seeking a senior data architecture leader in New York to guide enterprise data strategy, architecture roadmaps, and modern data platforms. You will influence multi-year transformation programs, mentor architects, and collaborate with CISOs and CTOs to drive secure, scalable data solutions.

The role emphasizes data governance, AI-enabled transformation, and delivering high-impact data platforms across cloud and on-premises environments in a client-service setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture and technology leadership, including large-scale transformation programs.
• Deep enterprise data architecture expertise across multiple industries, such as financial services, consumer, and technology.
• End-to-end lifecycle experience leading large, complex, multi-year data transformation programs from strategy and architecture through implementation and migration.
• Hands-on architecture and delivery experience with modern data stacks and cloud data services, including Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead definition of enterprise data architecture strategies, target states, and roadmaps aligned with client priorities and transformation outcomes.
• Architect scalable, secure data platforms across cloud, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Define operating models for a modern Data Office, including governance and delivery capabilities.
• Develop as-is and to-be architectures, reference models, and transition roadmaps for complex transformations.
• Shape data foundations for analytics and AI, including data engineering and MLOps enablement.
• Advise senior leaders on cybersecurity, architecture decisions, and technology trade-offs.
• Lead and mentor teams to deliver data platforms aligned with client outcomes.
