Job summary

Centene is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and implement complex enterprise software solutions, collaborating with data modelers, architects, analysts, data stewards, and SMEs to deliver end-to-end data processing and reporting.

You will build and optimize SQL Server objects, maintain the in-house letter system using C# to generate Word docs and convert to PDF, develop SSIS packages, and troubleshoot data and performance issues while documenting designs and data flows.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of Microsoft SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, index creation, performance tuning).
• 3+ years of C# development.
• 3+ years of SSIS development.
• Experience with EDI preferred.
• Experience with Healthcare/Managed Care Data is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements complex enterprise software solutions.
• Create, optimize, and re-engineer SQL Server objects (stored procedures, views, tables) for data staging and transformation.
• Own, maintain, and enhance the in-house letter application (C# to produce Word documents; Word to PDF via third-party component in SSIS).
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document conversion workflows.
