Job summary

Centene Corporation is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and implement complex enterprise data solutions. You will collaborate with data modelers, architects, analysts, data stewards, and SMEs to deliver robust data processing, reporting, and automation.

Responsibilities include building and optimizing SQL Server objects, developing C# solutions, and creating SSIS ETL packages, with production support, documentation, and cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Requires 4–6 years of Microsoft SQL Server development (T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, performance tuning).
• Requires 3+ years of C# development.
• Requires 3+ years of SSIS development.
• Experience with EDI preferred.
• Experience with Healthcare/Managed Care Data is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements complex enterprise software solutions across the business.
• Collaborates with data modelers, architects, business analysts, data stewards, and SMEs to deliver design, technical analysis, development, testing, and support.
• Create, optimize, and re-engineer SQL Server objects for staging and transforming data.
• Own, maintain, and enhance the in-house letter application and data flows.
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL, file processing, and document conversion workflows.
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs using ActiveBatch.
• Perform data analysis, testing, and production support; research and resolve data and performance issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts.
• Communicate issues clearly to stakeholders and design modular solutions.
• Contribute to data mart development, EDW feeds, and report development.
