Job summary

GAI Consultants is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager with 15+ years of experience to oversee engineering projects and lead a team of engineers, planners, and environmental professionals. This role will serve as client representative and work across transportation, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

The position is on-site or hybrid at our offices in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, or West Virginia, with eligibility for a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• PE Registration is required with ability to attain PE in additional surrounding states.
• 15+ years of experience in managing traffic and engineering projects.
• Experience working with State Agencies; Design-Build experience preferred.
• Leadership of engineers and client representation.

Responsibilities

• Develop standards and guidelines for engineering practice.
• Lead projects in the practice area and select design alternatives for complex projects.
• Oversee project management including budget, schedule, and regulatory constraints.
• Manage teams, evaluate leaders, and develop staff.
• Communicate with engineers and officials; negotiate critical issues.
