Job summary

GAI Consultants seeks a Senior Engineering Manager with 15+ years of experience to lead engineering, planning, and environmental teams on complex projects for state and federal agencies. You will oversee engineers, manage project scopes, budgets, and client relations, and ensure designs meet regulatory requirements.

This position offers on-site or hybrid work at our Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, or West Virginia offices and includes eligibility for a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with State Agencies is required; Design-Build expertise preferred.
Oversight of engineers in the development of plans, financial monitoring, and acting as client representative.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License; reciprocity in multiple states.

Responsibilities

Oversee technical, legal, and financial aspects of projects.
Lead teams and manage multi-discipline engineering efforts.
Develop design alternatives considering regulations, permitting, and community input.
Integrate sustainability and engineering economics into project solutions.
Set objectives and manage project requirements; may act as Project Manager for select projects up to $150,000/year.
Foster leadership and staff development within the practice segment.
