Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. seeks a Senior Engineering Manager with 15+ years of experience to lead traffic and engineering projects across transportation, energy, and infrastructure.

You will supervise engineers, manage client relations, and ensure project delivery from concept through construction. This role is on-site or hybrid at offices in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky or West Virginia, with a sign-on bonus and a focus on leadership, design-basis reviews, budgeting, and compliance with state agencies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with State Agencies is required; additional state and local government experience, as well as Design-Build expertise, is preferred.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight of engineers in the development of plans, financial monitoring, and acting as GAI's client representative.
• PE Registration is required with ability to attain PE in additional surrounding states.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering teams to develop plans and technical standards.
• Lead projects with complex features, integrating engineering economics and risk analyses.
• Manage project objectives, budgets, and client communications; may serve as Project Manager for certain projects up to $150,000/year.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and coordination with state agencies.
