Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a technical team while contributing as a hands‑on engineer or technical lead.

The role emphasizes cloud‑native microservices, RESTful APIs, and strong collaboration with product teams. Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in agile, multi‑discipline environments, experience with Postgres/JDBC/Hibernate, and a track record in DevOps and AWS.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Experience designing and implementing production‑grade, cloud‑native microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably Postgres, using JDBC and ORM mappers like Hibernate.
• Experience with DevOps, preferably Jenkins CI/CD.
• Experience utilizing AWS cloud native services and data engineering.
• Ability to think strategically around trade‑offs and long‑term planning.
• Ability to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Write code and perform code reviews.
• Write and review technical specifications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional product teams to identify and mitigate technical risks.
• Guide the engineering team on planning, estimation, prioritization, trade‑offs, and balancing technical debt with milestones.
• Review architecture and designs from other project teams.
• Strategize with leadership on project growth.
• Attend conferences and network with potential clients.
