Job summary

Nava is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and grow a technical team while contributing as a hands-on engineer or Tech Lead. You will guide cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver cloud-native solutions for government clients, ensuring robust architecture, performance, and security.

With a remote-friendly setup, the role emphasizes leadership, delivery, and collaboration across stakeholders, including vendors and product teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment, preferably designing and building cloud platforms.
• 1+ years experience as a People Manager leading engineering teams.
• Production-grade, cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs using Java/Spring Boot.
• Relational databases experience, preferably PostgreSQL, with JDBC/ORM like Hibernate.
• DevOps experience, Jenkins CI/CD, and AWS cloud native services.
• Ability to balance technical debt with project milestones and risks.
• Strong communication and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams and provide career growth guidance to reports.
• Contribute technically as an IC or tech lead and review architectures.
• Collaborate with product teams to identify risks and plan roadmaps.
• Design and enforce technical standards, architectures, and roadmaps.
• Participate in client meetings and growth initiatives.
