Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. is a consultancy focused on modernizing government services with secure, scalable cloud solutions. This Engineering Manager role blends technical contribution with people leadership in a remote-friendly environment.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product teams to mitigate risks, and guide architecture decisions while driving delivery and technical excellence across cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in agile multi-disciplinary teams, preferably designing and building cloud platforms.
• Experience designing and implementing production‑grade cloud‑native microservices and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and containerized deployment patterns.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably Postgres, using JDBC and ORM mappers like Hibernate.
• DevOps experience, preferably with Jenkins CI/CD.
• Experience utilizing AWS cloud native services and data engineering.
• Ability to think strategically around trade‑offs and long‑term project planning.

Responsibilities

• Writing code and performing code reviews.
• Writing and reviewing technical specifications.
• Guiding the engineering team on planning, estimation, prioritization, trade‑offs, and balancing technical debt.
• Review architecture and designs from other project teams.
• Strategizing with leadership on ways to grow projects.
• Attending conferences and networking with potential clients.
