Nava Public Benefit Corp. is seeking an Engineering Manager who will guide the career growth of direct reports while also contributing technically as a lead.

You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable cloud-based solutions that align with Nava’s public good mission. The role involves architectural oversight, roadmapping, and collaboration with product, vendors, and government stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and long-term impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment with cloud projects.
• Experience as a People Manager and engineering leadership roles.
• Production-grade, cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs in Java/Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering management and technical leadership to the team.
• Write, review, and participate in code reviews and technical specs.
• Guide planning, estimates, prioritization, and trade-offs; balance technical debt and milestones.
• Review architectures and designs; design technical roadmaps and enforce architecture.
• Maintain production systems and handle on-call duties; debug and resolve issues.
• Contribute to business development bids and client stakeholder meetings.
