Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of 10-15 engineers across a portfolio of 85+ gas and electric programs in the Midwest, including Minnesota. You will drive cost savings for end-users and emissions reductions while guiding technical strategy, tooling, and collaboration with utility clients.

You will mentor engineers, manage budgets and workloads, and shape program design with industry expertise. This is a leadership role for a fast-paced, impact-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, civil or environmental engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in energy efficiency and/or sustainability consulting.
• Minimum of 8 years of people management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills; VBA a plus.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, interpersonal, and written).
• Travel up to 25% for client facing meetings, project support and team gatherings.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Technical Leadership by guiding audits, HVAC, M&V, RCx, and other areas of focus for the team and clients.
• Lead team engagement with evaluation contractors and utility clients.
• Oversee workload and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of projects.
• Mentor and grow engineering talent and foster continuous learning.
• Develop scopes of work and budgets for business development opportunities.
• Build strategic relationships with engineering leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements and communicate technical insights regularly.
